Foundation for High Blood Pressure Research – 2026 Young Investigator Conference Awards

The Foundation for High Blood Pressure Research is pleased to announce that it will provide Travel Awards to young Australian researchers presenting their work at the ISH Scientific Meeting in Dubai. Individual awards will be up to $2,000 as determined by the Foundation. The Foundation will consider support for the costs of registration, travel and accommodation.

The following conditions will apply:

Eligibility

The awards are available to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with no more than five years’ experience post-PhD (after taking into account any career interruptions). Preference will be given to members of the High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia. The Foundation encourages all applicants to seek other sources of funding to attend this meeting. The award is intended for those who have not received support from other sources other than their own laboratory or department.

How to apply

Applicants should send a letter of application to the address below with a copy of the abstract(s) submitted to the ISH2026 Organising Committee and provide evidence that the abstract has been accepted. Applicants should also provide a brief (2 pages maximum) curriculum vitae and a letter from the Head of their department or research institution that confirms their status as a Young Investigator as defined above. Please indicate whether you have received support to attend the meeting from other external sources and the amount.

Judging procedures

Following receipt of this information the Trustees of the Foundation will make a decision on the number and value of the Travel Awards to be offered.
